چکیده

We study the problem of deciding whether or not the image of an irreducible representation of the braid group B3 of degree ≤ 5 has finite image if we are only given the eigenvalues of a generator. We provide a partial algorithm that determines when the images are finite or infinite in all but finitely many cases, and use these results to study examples coming from quantum groups. Our technique uses two classification theorems and the computational group theory package GAP.

IDEALS WITH (d1, . . . , dm)-LINEAR QUOTIENTS

In this paper, we introduce the class of ideals with $(d_1,ldots,d_m)$-linear quotients generalizing the class of ideals with linear quotients. Under suitable conditions we control the numerical invariants of a minimal free resolution of ideals with $(d_1,ldots,d_m)$-linear quotients. In particular we show that their first module of syzygies is a componentwise linear module.

طراحی کاواک‌های تیوب شتاب‌‌دهی موج ایستا برای شتاب‌‌دهنده خطی الکترون6 مگاالکترون‌ ولت

Side-coupled standing wave tubes in  mode are widely used in the low-energy electron linear accelerator, due to high accelerating gradient and low sensitivity to construction tolerances. The use of various simulation software for designing these kinds of tubes is very common nowadays. In this paper, SUPERFISH code and COMSOL are used for designing the accelerating and coupling cavities for a 6 ...

Characterization of some projective special linear groups in dimension four by their orders and degree patterns

‎Let $G$ be a finite group‎. ‎The degree pattern of $G$ denoted by‎ ‎$D(G)$ is defined as follows‎: ‎If $pi(G)={p_{1},p_{2},...,p_{k}}$ such that‎ ‎$p_{1}

Significant Error Propagation in the Finite Difference Solution of Non-Linear Magnetostatic Problems Utilizing Boundary Condition of the Third Kind

This paper poses two magnetostatic problems in cylindrical coordinates with different permeabilities for each region. In the first problem the boundary condition of the second kind is used while in the second one, the boundary condition of the third kind is utilized. These problems are solved using the finite element and finite difference methods. In second problem, the results of the finite di...

Order Dimension, Strong Bruhat Order and Lattice Properties for Posets

We determine the order dimension of the strong Bruhat order on finite Coxeter groups of types A, B and H. The order dimension is determined using a generalization of a theorem of Dilworth: dim(P ) = width(Irr(P )), whenever P satisfies a simple order-theoretic condition called here the dissective property (or “clivage” in [16, 21]). The result for dissective posets follows from an upper bound a...
